FRIENDSHIP BIRTHDAY CHRISTMAS CARDS Tim Holtz florals die

Hello!! here are a couple of cards I have made for ebay and the school fete.  I have used my shims (here) to mask out portions of the embossing folders I dont want.  I particulary like the pink card down the bottom where I masked out "just as sweet as can be" (a sizzix embossing folder).  I am also enjoying highlightly some words in colour...I think it works well don't you??? Please message if you would like to know the companies of the sentiment stamps.

Tim Holtz FLOWER CARDS

HELLO!!!! well it is nearly midnight here in Queensland, so I will keep it short and simple.  A couple of easy cards here using plain solid embossing folders and my embossing shims available from my ebay site here to just emboss the top and bottom of the card. I also have lots of very cheap stamp sets and scorpals on my ebay site that I have won in "lots" all brand new so check it out.  I have cleaned up the edges with two scors from my scor pal.  The flowers are made using the Tim Holtz tattered florals die, with a brad and charm for the centres. The sentiment on the red poinsettia card is from KaiserCraft "christmas sentiments" the blue flower card is a verse from a stampin' up set, sorry- I don't know the name of the set as I won a "lot" on ebay with all sorts of stamps in it. well that enough from me- I should get going to bed.

my very first win!!!

OMG I was so excited to see I won my first challenge over @ Southern Girls blog...I'm still in shock...I only enter for the fun of it, not thinking I would ever have the luck or talent to win, but I guess my luck is changing :0) The challenge I won was my tattered florals brooch friendship card....I am still ecstatic with excitement :0)

CUTTLEBUG SHEEP DIE CUT CARD

Good afternoon, I have a quick and easy card today.  When the cuttlebug dies first came to Australia, I went a little crazy and bought a stack of them...I dont often use them these days now that I have a new love of stamping.  Then over at Papertake Weekly, they had a challenge to use die cuts- the perfect excuse to pull out my old dies!  This sheep is from the cuttlekids range called "sofia".  I have used a shimmer crushed cardstock for her wool backed on black card stock.  the scroll up the top is another cuttlebug die "ornamental". The sentiment piece is cut using a spellbinder (sorry I'm not sure of the name??) ...I find the nesting of the spellbinders leave too much of the backing card, so I sut the top piece through my bigshot, then I use my blade and cut around the outside of the die by hand- that way I only get about a 2mm shadow for the base plate. I have followed the sketch by Dawny for the Simon Says Stamp challenge.  I have used papers: Cherry Arte "arcade retro realm" (double sided) and My Mind's Eye "lil robots multi bots" plus the usual bazzil. Rhinestones are by docrafts papermania. I'm entering this card into the above two challenges.  Wording is computer generated.

thanks for stopping by. XOX Tania

Tim Holtz Tattered Florals brooch friendship card

goodmorning, thanks for popping by :0) Today I have a quick and easy card. There is no real technical stuff- no colouring, just basic stamping and glue-ing. the beautiful flower is probably the hardest thing- but even that was easy.  I cut the material petals using my tim holtz florals die (again LOL!!!!!)...so there are four groups of petals here, each group consists of three petals- two purple shimmer organza type material and one petal cream satin (so esentially you will need 8 organza petals and 4 satin ones- I cut six satin ones as I used one on the bottom to glue onto and one on the top to hide  the joins). This fabric is really cheap @ spotlight when its on special!!! I am also selling some of these on my ebay if you dont have the die cutting machine.  so with each group of three petals (satin sandwiched between organza) ... lay them piled on top of eachother (offset the petals a little) place a SMALL dob of hot glue in the centre and fold in half. do this to all four sets the bottom may also need a little tack with glue, but I didnt as you tend to get too bulky with the hot glue and flexibility is poor- the bottom will glue when it goes together. I glue my sets onto another extra satin petal but you can just cut a round piece of material. Here's where you need to work fast- fold the petal group again in half- I tend to not fold COMPLETELY I almost fold it over 3/4 so both the inner and outer bunch gets glue on them (so it is now in 1/4) place another SMALL dot of hot glue and press onto the centre of your base petal/circle. the next petal do exactly the same glue-ing opposite (so you get an even spread of petals) then contine with the other two groups... place some bling in the centre and you have your flower!!! I have added some dangles for extra bling- I have also glued a pin to the back so this is actually a gift card not the usual drab cards I generally make LOL!!! (hense the "not a card" label :0)   I know I'm dribbling- but I want you to go away knowing that you know :0)  please drop me a comment if you need anything clarified.  HINT: I have just bought some cabochon settings off ebay they will make it easier to attach my dangles I just need to add a piece of bling to the centre.  also dont be limited by rhinestones etc- go to your local cheap jewellery store and buy cheap earrings (just snap/clip the ear piece off) or necklaces with lots charms on them (like those they sell for little girls) - not only can you use the chain, but the charms make a perfect centre!!! sorry forgot to add that I used another satin flower over the top- normally if I had a big centre that would be enough to hide the centre joins, but as I had small rhinestones, the extra flower just cleans it up a little
so enough babbling onto the card....The sentiment on the front is another verses stamp "A friend", the sentiment in the middle is from a my sentiments exactly set- "little Birdie" the flourish is from another set- Hero arts "feather grass"...easy peasy!!!! just some black and white cardstock and some polka dot paper (I think I have mentioned it in a previous post, but dont have the name of it handy)

this card qualifies for the challenge over at Southern Girls Challenge whose challenge is black and white with a POP of one colour. POP over and see everyone elses creations!!!  Hope you like my creation...thanks for dropping by XOX Tania

LANTERN GIFT BOX

Good morning!Today I thought 'd share with you some things other than cards that have been busy making.  you can find the template to this lantern box from My Craft Room It looks very involved, but once you get into it it all comes together easy.  I have used magnolia papers, AND see the big rose???? I made that myself!!! I know- I now have a new hobby- making flowers.  I bought the Tim Holtz tattered floral rose die and boy if your going to invest in a die- this should be the one- I am going to put photos up of different flowers I have made already (and I only got the die yesterday!!).  I have also used flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts too. This lantern can be filled with choclates or lollies as a gift, or use them in your craft room filled with odd flowers/buttons as you can see through the acetate windows! For some reason I can only load 2 pics at a time, so please bear with me I will eventually get more pics up!

THE RAUNCHY "LADY RAVEN"

Good morning....today I have another Kenny K card "Lady Raven".  I am happier with my colouring for this image! These images are a little raunchier than my usual, but I try to step out of my comfort zone every now and then LOL!!!!.  here's the card I ended up with:

Once again I have used flowers from wild orchid crafts.  Ribbon from Craft Queen Australia, some pearl sprays form Spotlight and stickles (surprise surprise!!!). The papers are "little tike" a Michelle Coleman Fancy Pants design, and "Jaunt" paper by Authentique. The card is just blue Bazzil.
Kenny K's "Lucious Linda" coloured with PrismaColor pencils, some dimensional magic on her boots and stickles. Below the sentiment is another from my set of cloud nine "simple thoughts"....I like this set as it has variety with some touching sentiments eg wrinkles indicate where smiles have been, but then we get the more cheeky sentiments too!
I thought I'd try something a little different for the inside....I made an envelope pocket with a pull out card to write your sentiment.  Looking at the pics, I think I might go and round the corners off and ink the edges??? I did an embossed image of  "Linda" in a blue pearl which you can only really see when the light hits it the right way.
SO.....what do you think??? I'd love to hear your comments :0)                              Thanks for stopping by XOX TANIA XOX

KENNY K LUCIOUS LINDA

PHEW!!!I finally got my mojo back! I have (sort of) got some organisation into my craft room...well enough that I can get back into my cards. This is my first attempt for a long time and it took me nearly two days to finish!!!! This is a Kenny K image- my very first attempt at a Kenny K- boy was it hard to colour!! very detailed indead. but apart from a few smudges, I am stoked with how it coloured up! Because I did a black card, I wanted there to be somewhere you could write your message, so I did and envelope inside with a pull out tag. It didn't photograph very well but the bottom of the tag is stamped with flowers and "hugs and kisses" from a studio K set.

So, the image of course is Kenny K "Lucious Linda"....I bought the stamp (plus others) from Quixotic Paperie in the UK- they have wonderful service, and fast, reasonably priced international shipping- oh if I won lotto, I'd buy everthing they have- its an awesome shop!!! the sentiment is from Cloud9 Design "simple thoughts-Laughter". Flowers are of course from wild orchid crafts. the ribbon and charm are OLDDDD - its amazing what you find when you move house LOL!!! the papers are red and black bazzil, Magnolia Ink "vintage christmas" and (I believe) the polka dot paper is a doodlebug design. from my LSS Arnolds scrapbooking. And of course, my ever faithful prisma colour pencils (I like the look of the copics, but unfortunately my bank account doesn't like the look of the price LOL!!!!) and stickles "stardust" glitter

This card qualifies for entry into the Kenny K challenge by using metal embellishments. I originally did this card for their pocket challenge, but it took me so long to do, but! I can enter into this weeks challenge anyway:0) thanks so much for dropping by !!!
